I can offer walk and talk (echo therapy) phone and online sessions (zoom or whatsapp on a weekly basis, usually 50 minutes in duration. A day and time will be agreed prior to each session. Clients have a choice of arranging a regular session each week or a more flexible approach. I offer sessions during weekdays, in either the morning, afternoon or evening. I can provide long term and short term (time limited) therapy.
My integrative training allows me to be flexible and adaptable with my approach as I feel that therapy is not a one size fits all endeavour. I feel that gaining insight into our inner worlds and relationships with others allows us to move forward with more self-compassion and understanding. As an integrative therapist I will draw upon different theories and skills best suited to your needs. I integrate different ways of working such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques, mindfulness and Dialect Behavioural therapy (DBT). I am also a trained rewind technique therapist.
Areas I can help you with include: feeling sad, exam stress, depression, anxiety, relationships/family breakdown, low self esteem/self worth, OCD, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) self-harm, trauma, child related issues, abuse, sexuality. Sexual orientation, separation/divorce and suicidal ideation.
First session
The first session will be the assessment to set the boundaries and discuss how we can work together, as everyone has different reasons for therapy and what they wish to achieve from it.
This session is also a time for you to ask me any questions in relation to how I work, the therapeutic model I use, and to finalise payment details.
